RARE second edition of the French translation of the seminal treatise by Thomas Robert Malthus (1766-1834), an eminent English cleric and scholar, influential in the fields of political economy and demography. Malthus wrote it as an answer to David Ricardo's 'Principles of Political Economy and Taxation' published in 1817. In it, and his 'Definitions in political economy' published in 1827, Malthus defended Sismondi's views on 'general glut' rather than Say's Law, which in effect states 'there can be no general glut'. 240x160mm. Limited edition signed by Hershey Park President and other officers. Given to Ruffus K. Hollinger. Excellent condition. Each issue is almost as NEW. The history of Hersheypark begins with the founding of the town of Hershey in 1903. The owner of the Hershey Chocolate Company surveyed a nearby area of land, which was to become a leisure park for the employees of his chocolate company. The park opened in 1905, but it wasn't officially opened as an amusement park until April 24, 1907, when the park opened as Hershey Park. The park slowly added rides until 1923, when the first roller coaster, Wild Cat, was built. It is still a popular destination, but PA Dutch Days are long gone. SCARCE. **PRICE JUST REDUCED! PA 011A
