Brown plastic comb spiral binding pulling on last tabs but mostly fine one small spot on front cover mild surface wear clean interior most recipes sources cited light foxing to page foredges. 306 pages with index besides recipes there are historical vignettes illustrations detailed suggestions for decoration and garnishing according to the theme. Theme Well the entire book is organized by menu as opposed to the usual ingredient or course format. Also the cuisine leans heavily on traditional Southern fare. One of my favorites is page 87: "Supper After the Concert" menu - Green Pea Salad Charleston Shrimp Pilau Bacon Muffins Strawberries in Meringue Chantilly or Orange Chiffon Pie Wine: California Riesling at foot of page instructions on making a floral arrangement with miniature musical instruments. <br/> <br/> Federated Garden Clubs of Macon, Georgia unknown
