Addressed to Miss Agnes E. McCarte regarding a "serious case of uterine disease" the letter advises her against an operation and instead recommends Dr. Pierce's Golden Medical Discovery Dr. Pierce's Favorite Prescription Pleasant Pellets and Lotion Tablets. It closes "After a thorough trial of the remedies for six or eight weeks please report the result and we will be pleased to advise you further if desired. Hoping the report will be favorable." The newsletter/advert on the verso discusses the staff specialties medicines services and facilities that the Hotel Institute and Dispensary offer.
