With trivial foxing to the cloth of the upper extremities and a couple of negligible spots on the front cover. The front free endpaper has a former owner's name in pen with the notation "March 30 1957 / Santa Fe New Mexico." In a very attractive dust jacket with subtle edgewear minor soiling to the rear panel and a very short closed tear along the top edge of the rear panel. $10.00 price intact in bottom corner of front inside flap. An all-around bright copy. Uncommon in such vibrant condition. Robert Doisneau 1912-1994 was a master of humanist photography and a pioneer of photojournalism. He is known for his 1950 photograph of a couple kissing on a busy Parisian street "Le Baiser de l'hôtel de ville." In 1956 Doisneau won the Niépce Prize and in 1983 was awarded the Grand Prix National de la Photographie. He also won the Balzac Prize in 1986. Robert Doisneau 1912-1994 was a French photographer noted for his unique depiction's of Parisian street life. His most recognizable photograph is 'Le baiser de l'hotel de ville' a couple kissing in the busy streets of Paris. Another famous photo by Doisneau's was taken on August 15th 1945 in New York's Times Square of an American sailor kissing a girl in a white dress capturing a 'forever moment' of two strangers celebrating the end of W.W.II.
