On this rare photograph reproduced in the book Rue Jacques Prévert by Robert Doisneau the poet poses in front of the Catéchismes chapel of the Église Saint-Jacques-Saint-Christophe de la Villette situated in the 19th arrondissement in Paris. Some wear to edges of dustjacket light creasing and minor staining to back of dustjacket. Overall very good condition. Robert Doisneau 1912-1994 was a French photographer noted for his unique depiction's of Parisian street life. His most recognizable photograph is 'Le baiser de l'hotel de ville' a couple kissing in the busy streets of Paris. Another famous photo by Doisneau's was taken on August 15th 1945 in New York's Times Square of an American sailor kissing a girl in a white dress capturing a 'forever moment' of two strangers celebrating the end of W.W.II.
