Buff coloured patterned endpapers. Top edge of textblock dyed green to match. Illustrated with black and white photographic plates and a drawing of a map within the text. Light rubbing along the edges of the boards but mostly to the tail of the spine. A very good to near fine copy. Arctic Bibliography 408. This flight by Amundsen and Ellsworth was an attempt to reach the North Pole from Spitsbergen using two Dornier Do J flying boats and the hardships faced when they were stranded for a month.
