In addition to describing the 2000 mile journey by canoe and on foot and the events of his 18-day stay Mountain also provides an account of the Indian population of the fur country their moral and general condition and an historical summary of the formation and progress of the mission of the Church Missionary Society in Prince Rupert’s Land.
