Cinque volumi di cm. 21,5, pp. 1.800 ca. complessive. Buona legatura coeva in cartonato rigido marmorizzato con titoli in oro su tasselli ai dorsi. Qualche sezione di carte un po' brunita, peraltro ben conservato e marginoso. Precede la vita dell'autore. Esemplare impreziosito da un certosino lavoro eseguito dall'antico proprietario dei volumi il quale, con nitida e bella grafia ottocentesca, ha aggiunto a ciascun canto, un foglio con il riassunto dell'argomento (forse copiato da altra edizione). Cfr. Agnelli Ravegnani p. 224 che cita un ritratto qui non presente (come in molte delle copie censite).
Quattro volumi di cm. 31, pp. 1.500 ca. complessive. Con il ritratto dell'autore all'acquaforte all'antiporta del primo volume. Leg. orig. in cart. con titoli a stampa. Esemplare in ottimo stato di conservazione, a fogli chiusi. Edizione a tiratura limitata di 500 esemplari numerati (ns. n. 478).

Legatura in tutta pergamena rigida coeva, dorso con nervi e titolo calligrafato, due piccolissimi forellini di tarlo, un po' corto il margine interno, ma nel complesso buona copia genuina. Sc. D.
2 volumi, belle legature in mezza pelle rossa con 4 nervi ai dorsi, tit. e fregi in oro, tagli dorati, pag. (4) 511; (4) 546 (2). In antiporta riprodotto il frontespizio della rarissima edizione del 1521 con il motto Pro Bono Malum. Lievi usure alle legature e leggerissimo foxing ad alcune pagine; nel complesso ottimi esemplari in bella e solida legatura.
<p>24 cm, bella rilegatura in mezza pergamena con angoli, piatti marmorizzati, titolo in oro su tassello al dorso. Conserva le copertine originali. Un ritratto di Ariosto in antiporta, p. ix con dedica al conte Carlo Pepoli; p. 223 con le edizioni dal 1516 al 1858. Cenni sulle opere in versi connesse al poema; traduzioni in latino, in varie lingue e in dialetti italiani.</p>
Due volumi di cm. 14, pp. (8) xxxviii, 699 (1); (4) 727 (1). Ciascun volume preceduto da antiporta e primo frontespizio finemente illustrati da incisioni in rame. Solida legatura coeva in piena pergamena, dorsi lisci con fregi e titoli in oro su doppi tasselli. Esemplare genuino, marginoso e ben conservato. Cfr. Agnelli-Ravegnani (I, 222-223): "Bella e pregiata ediz... Essa segue la lezione del Morali..."..

52647Bathurst. Collectible - Good. Condition: Good; 1783 8vo 5 volume set. All volumes full-bound in contemporary tree calf with gilt decoration to spine and with marbled endpapers. Text is clean throughout all volumes. Front cover detached on vol 1 and rear hinge on vol 4 has been mended with rice paper. All other hinges are fragile but holding. Leather and gilt on spines is starting to chip but all are still legible. Bookplate from Pull Court Worcestershire on pastedown in all volumes; also a label from Pull Court Library; and a signature from a T. Dowdeswell probably Thomas Dowdeswell a Colonel of the Guards who died in 1811. Without the list of subscribers and with state B of the Blake plate in vol. 3. Photos upon request.
