"The work is intended as a supplement to the Bibliotheca Spenceriana forming vols. 5 and 6. It contains an account of the ancestors of Earl Spencer a history of the mansion with an account of the pictures and 32 engravings of the most important in the gallery a systematic catalogue of editions of the Scriptures an account of the Aldine editions not contained in the former volumes and a supplement to the works printed in the fifteenth century.
