18205York: J. Kendrew 1820. Very good in stitched paper wraps with light soiling to covers. A charming 48mo chapbook. In its 16 pages it was able to fit 16 woodcuts. Kendrew despite being a provincial printer in York was one of the most prominent printers of nineteenth century children's chapbooks until his death in 1841. This instant book was from his series of twenty-four 16-page halfpenny chapbooks.
