Appended to this is an Afterword essay on the Kelmscott Chaucer by William S. Peterson the bibliographer of The Kelmscott Press. He states that of numerous facsimiles the 1975 edition by The Basilisk Press is "heads and shoulders above the rest . it is an astonishing recreation." This Folio Society edition used the personal copy of the proprietor of The Basilisk Press to create this reproduction.
