Previous owners' names on front end paper. Tape marks to end papers. No other marks or inscriptions. Clean pages in a tight binding with slightly marked boards and bumping to corners. A batch of six pages are torn at the spine about halfway up the page but there is no loss. Some pages with uncut edges. 247pp. This is a collection of essays on literature, writers, poets, actresses, the theater and salons from the end of the 19th century.
