This is an excellent antiquarian volume bound in contemporary calf part of set. Contains numerous pullouts engravings pictures etc with wonderful star maps of the night sky etc and was essentially designed of a survey of science and nature. As such it's an amazing time capsule of the 18th Century mind. The pages are clean and sharp the original binding though showing its antiquity remaining integral and with a solid page block. The gilt spine has a red label and is a little creased front joint cracked boards but nevertheless firmly attached. A lovely and scarce volume offered at a price to sell this is a scarce volume that anyone with a love of the history of science and antiques will adore.
