An original First Screening Finnish cinema lobby poster for the Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis film MONEY FROM HOME. The film received its Finnish Premier in 1955 with no subsequent re-release. Slightly wider than the Standard Finnish A2 size measuring approximately 16" x 23.5. The poster was printed by Fotopaino Oy Helsinki. Artist signed in the plate initials Condition: C7 Very Good. A rolled poster with no folding crease No obvious signs of mounting. Some edge wear visible: bottom edge one small nick 1/4 inch in length. Right edge middle 2 small nicks. Right edge near top a small partial tear which could develop into a chip but no actual loss of paper yet. At the bottom edge next to the printer's name is a neat inked date in blue ink - "1958". Not in perfect condition by any means but looks great and an uncommon movie poster. As well as describing the condition of our posters meticulously we also take care to research them and provide accurate information concerning dates of issue theatrical runs etc. Authenticity guaranteed! The film premiered in Finland in September 1950 and enjoyed a fairly long run. This poster has a printed date of 1951 and therefore is a contemporary reprint. Standard Finnish A2 size titles in Finnish and Swedish as usual measuring approximately 16" x 23.5. Printed by Fotopaino Oy. Artist signed in the plate Lindqvist. Condition: C8 Fine/Very Fine. A stunning example of cinema advertising art this poster is in Fine vibrant condition approximate size is 23.5 inches by 15.5 inches standard Finnish A2 format. SIGNS OF USE: A rolled poster with no folding creases. Pinholes to the top corners only. There is a small tear to the top right corner at the artist's name. Otherwise in really Fine condition. The film was first screened in cinemas in Finland in 1959 with no subsequent theatrical screenings. This poster is not a modern reproduction and nor is it Video/DVD-related The "small" standard vintage Finnish film poster is the most common and collected version and approximates in size to the German or Hungarian A2. Sizes do vary slightly depending on the studio or printers involved and the era. Stylistically vintage Finnish movie posters rarely reproduce the same art-work from the original studios' publicity material. Older films were usually re-named in Finnish and Swedish below but nearly always referenced the original title of the movie somewhere in the presentation. This particular poster was printed by Piirtopaino Oy and is a standard size 23.5" x 15.75" approx. It is in fantastic unused condition - unfolded which is very rare for the era and with no chips or tears to the edges. Near Mint - there are no discernible faults with this poster.
