Originally published as title 5 in the Collection Les Imaginaires. The total first printing consisted of three thousand copies but after the passing of four years and the sale of fewer than three hundred copies the unsold stock passed to Les Éditions de Minuit and was reissued in these new wrappers bearing their imprint and ads.
