Folkard studied at various art schools including the St John"s Wood School of Art and Goldsmith"s College School of Art before establishing himself through illustrating children"s classics and nursery literature.This anthology offers many classic fables originating from Aesop including 'The Fox and the Stork' 'The Old Hound' 'The Wolf and the Lamb' and 'The Wind and the Sun'.With two pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear. In the original pictorial cloth binding. Externally very smart with slight rubbing and bumping to the extremities most notably to the head of the spine. Internally firmly bound.
