No. 25 of 30 copies with illustrations in two states apart from text as well as several of the 39 illustrations shown in their progressive stages of the coloring process. states but then also presented as a progressive with the each step of the coloring process presented. 4to. 24.5 by 16.5 cm. Although the story is short with pagination running from 1 to 33 with the last page not paginated and there are two pages of verse two pages describing the pagination the book is thick thanks to the thickness of the paper -- the leaves could fairly be described as of a card stock. There are about 140 leaves in all with heavy gilt edges. Original wraps bound in. Notwithstanding the occasional light fox mark we can comfortably grade this copy as Fine. The slipcase remains very solid. Its paper pastedown does have a few scratches and spme schmutz. Jean Porson unknown
