The book was first published in 1820 by Lambert Nepveu et Lefuel. This is the subsequent printing by Pintard and Letaille in circa 1837. Oblong duodecimo. Rear of book with folding flaps enclosing 2 hand-coloured and varnished plates with slits to insert hand-coloured cut-out subjects of which there are here 25 26 were issued; folding plate illustrating how to place the figurines.
