Letter announces the inauguration of the Casa degli Italiani Italy House in Berlin combining several Italian organizations already existing in the city. Post scriptum directs responses to the ambassador at the Italian Embassy in Berlin; ambassador’s name and embassy underlined in red ink. Stamped with insignia of the Fascio Italiano di Berlino; signed by the Director; signature illegible. On printed letterhead of the Fascio Italiano di Berlino. Two sheets typed on one side only. An identity card for a young Italian girl Clara Marini born in 1927 seemingly issued in 1933 approximately 65mm x 95mm in size folded with a photograph and official stamp central fold; 2. Double sided membership card for the National Fascist Confederation of Farmers Landlords and Tenant Farmers section approximately 70mm x 105mm in size 1934 and 3. A membership card for the Confederation of Fascist Corporations approximately 65mm x 100mm in size folded 1926 for a Dr. Salvatore Valenti though he doesn't appear to have paid his membership stamps as the monthly dues spaces on the card are empty central fold. Rare.British Museum: Likely from 'Les Oeuvres Lithographiques choix de dessins d'après les grands maitres de toutes les Ecoles tirées du Musée de S.M. le roi de Bavière par Strixner Piloty et Cie'. It was produced under the sponsorship of Aretin and von Mannlich. It was directed and mostly made by Strixner and Piloty and was published by J Stuntz in Munich in 72 parts each of 6 sheets with 432 prints in total between 1810 and 1816 so Düssler: no complete copy is recorded in London and the BM only has oddments from it. It was followed by the separate series of plates after paintings the 'Königlich Bayerischer Gemälde-Sammlung zu München und Schleissheim' in 1817-24. King Esqr.’ and signed ‘Gambier Parry’. After thanking him for his note he assures him that he ‘had no thought one way or other about the immediate publication: or delay of the Pamphlet or Spirit Fresco.’ He thinks ‘it might be well to give one last look at it before it is actually published -’ last two words both underlined twice. If King thinks so he asks that he sends him ‘a copy of the Complete printing when ready’ and he will have it back directly. He ends by giving a temporary address. 14 May [no year]. 15997751599. Chiaroscuro woodcut in colors printed from four blocks on laid paper in dark brown grey and three shades of ochre 14 1/2 x 14 1/2 inches 370 x 370 mm the full sheet. A very good impression with gaufrage clearly visible on the verso trimmed to the platemark. A central vertical fold is mainly visible on the verso an additional diagonal fold is also visible on the verso. There are several scattered expert repairs to areas of skinning in the lower right quadrant of the sheet on the verso as well as one pea-sized area of expert repair in the center-left sheet on the verso. Repairs are not visible on the recto unless the sheet is viewed through raking light. Laid down to an archival paper matrix.<br /> <br /> Bartsch XII.101.11. Andreani published this suite of prints to reproduce the nine canvases of the Triumphs of Caesar by Andrea Mantegna made for the Gonzaga ducal palace in Mantua between 1484 and 1492 now residing in Hampton Court. The set his last large-scale publication took four years to complete and was the first to depict a painted cycle in its entirety. According to the dedication page Andreani worked after drawings prepared by the Mantuan painter Bernardo Malpizzi.
