Book is in excellent condition. Binding is solid and square, covers have sharp corners, exterior shows no blemishes, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind with age-toned paper. 113 pages, mostly b&w with color section at back. Pages 36 -106 contain over 200 examples of batik motifs, designs, configuations, illustrations, symbols, with explanations of what they represent: gamelan melody, bondet, bumblebee from Sanskrit, flying pigeon, Gringsing, kupu: butterfly, Mirong: contrast, peksi, etc.
First edition, 4to (258 x 180mm), 30pp., iv, 99, [1]pp., text in English, notes and translations in red ink on first, original cloth, gilt, spine slightly faded but a nice copy.
