With sixteen of seventeen pochoir erotic illustrations by Brunelleschi. I cannot locate where the missing illustration or inset was placed. The corners are bumped and there is some wear along the upper and lower board edges. Light wear to the spine ends. There is a stain to the lower page edges near the spine but this has not in any way intruded into the margins. There are a few spots of soiling to the text but it is quite minor. An erotic tale with lesbian themes illustrated with black and white woodcuts by the Japanese artist Foujita. In POOR condition. LACKING rear cover and spine and any rear endpapers that may have been included. Front cover attached to the text block with tape by previous owner. Minor to moderate soiling with minor foxing to the front cover. Very dark ink stain at the top center of the front cover affecting the upper page edges of the first few pages. Heavy chipping tattering and creasing along the front cover extremities. Some curling minor chipping and tearing to the page edges of the first and last few pages. Minor scattered soiling and foxing to the interior with general moderate browning to the pages. Worm hole in the fore edge margin of the last half of the book. The first pages up to page 15 are DETACHED from the text block but intact to themselves with page 15 separate from all and laid in. This is copy number IV. From a total edition of 147. With 16 drypoint engravings printed in blue by Louis Icart of which 5 full page and 11 in-text. The etchings were printed by French masterprinter Manuel Robbe. The 32 full page 1st and 2nd state proofs are printed in black. All prints protected by tissue guards. Loose folded sheets in wrappers with silver title. In publishers marbled chemise and slipcase. 23 text pages. Sheets measure 29 x 215 cm. Extremely rare copy with the extra suites and the original copper plate. Spine of chemise a bit sun faded lightest wear to corner tips of slipcase. A very fine copy in collectors condition. . L.I.
