Spine lettering dulled & partially rubbed; slipcase has short tears to paper covering & lavender coloring faded but structurally intact; the book itself is quite nice. Pierre Louys' "translations" of ancient Greek lesbian erotic poetry. Hard to believe Louys really intended for the book to be a forgery but he at least let it ride and it fooled people for many years. This is the preferred edition with the Pogany illustrations. Pogany's Art Deco erotica is playful.</p> Macy-Masius hardcover
