1992BN42182Knesebeck 1992. 1992. Softcover. These images are striking and unforgettable. Case in point -- I originally saw one of the images 'Jessie bites' at the San Diego Museum of Photographic Arts. Over a year later I stumbled across this book in their gift store and flipping through the pages rediscovered that image. I had not remembered the photographers' name but the image itself had stayed in my mind. I don't have a ton of money to spend on art books and I have even less room for them but I decided then that this had to be a part of my collection. For those people who say these images are one step up from child porn. I guess it's where your mind goes. I did not get that at all. What I got was a sense of being able to be comfortable in ones' skin and a regret at the loss of the innocence of childhood. Bravo!
