Come sempre nelle scritture dell'anima, il viaggio è verso l'origine, che è immancabilmente anche l'inizio di tutto. Perché l'anima è un demone legato al luogo di nascita, e lì KM torna scrivendo. E se il prezzo del suo viaggio à rebours è, alla lettera, una iniziazione alla sua propria morte e rinascita nella scrittura, chi legga l'ispirato dialogo delle due voci di questo romanzo comprenderà come ogni volta chi legge davvero entra con il proprio autore, o autrice, in un colloquio autentico, in una relazione creativa che riporta alla vita chi l'ha pronunciata. Sì che potremmo dire che, se scrivere è inoltrarsi nel mistero alchemico di un'opera al nero, leggere lo è altrettanto.
