Volume I ii xxxix 3622pp; Volume II iivi 4302pp; Volume III x 3042pp; with 15 etchings and 3 photogravure. A near fine set beautifully bound with a couple of very light scratches to the boards. Internally clean without name inscription or bookplate and just a hint of ghosting from some of the illustrations. A good looking early set with some excellent illustrations. But deemed as a modern fake by the Edgar Allan Poe Society based on the arguments of Jeffrey A. Savoye. There is a small 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch chip at the base of the front covers spine.
