Miles Joseph Berkeley 1803-1889 â€The founder of British mycology†systematist with some 6000 species of fungi being credited to him. Berkeley made very important contributions to the field of plant pathology. He composed the account of native British fungi in Sir W. Hooker’s â€British Flora†1836 and his most important works are â€Introduction to Cryptogamic Botany†1857 and his â€Outlines of British Fungology†1860. He also published a large number of articles on mycology. The co-author Christopher Edmund Broome 1812-86 was also a British mycologist but he didn’t publish much. His herbarium contained at his death around 40000 fungal specimens which are now at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew. unknown

With a printed snipe on the verso along with the stamp of Culver Pictures photo bureau a date stamp of "Dec 1939" and holograph annotations regarding layout. <br/><br/>Rooney and Garland sing "God's Country" from the finale of the musical in a scene spoofing Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt and the FDR's fireside chats. This scene was cut from the film after Roosevelt's death and believed lost until it was rediscovered and restored in 1990s. Rooney received a Best Actor nomination for his role in the film. <br/><br/>10 x 8 inches. Very Good.
