Louise Dahl-Wolfe (1895- 1989) was known primarily for her work for Harper's Bazaar, in association with fashion editor Diana Vreeland. At Harpers she was part of a team with legendary art director Alexei Brodovitch and editor Carmel Snow, arguably one of the finest trios in 20th century fashion photography. This monograph was prepared to accompany the retrospective exhibition at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York in 2000. Curated by Nan Richardson.
