Included is an essay by Robert H. Sherard 1861-1943 the first biographer of Oscar Wilde who wrote one for Zola in 1893. Large octavo. Smooth green cloth binding now faded to tan on the spine with a gilt reproduction of Zola's signature on the front cover; paper label on spine. Clean text; 468 pages; all pages rough-cut. There is a small label from a previous-owner on the FFEP; attached to the rear paste-down is another spine label not darkened!.
