The poem recounts the execution of the thirty-year-old Charles Thomas Wooldridge convicted of the murder of his wife. In publisher's original cloth binding. Externally very smart with slight bumping and rubbing and a few marks. Internally generally firmly bound. Bright and clean with the odd spot heavier to the first and last few pages. Johannes Wilde 1891 - 1970 the Hungarian art historian and teacher was a Keeper at the Kunsthistorisches Museum of Vienna. It was here that he discovered that the hitherto separate paintings by the Italian Renaissance artist Antonello da Messina 1425 - 1479 in the collection "St. Nicolas and a Female Saint" "The Virgin and Child Enthroned" and "St. Dominic and St. Ursula" were all fragments of one altarpiece.
