This catalog was prepared to accompany the exhibition at the Musee national des Arts Asiatiques Guimet, from March to July 2003. The exhibition is a showcase for the magnificent Lu Ming Shi Collection of Philippe de Backer. The curator of the exhibition was Jean-Paul Desroches. Catalogue checklist with 74 works. br. Questo libro recupera i testi pubblicati postumi di Jean-Paul Sartre dove si può rintracciare il progetto di una morale dell'autenticità. Si tratta principalmente dei "Taccuini della strana guerra" (1939), dei "Quaderni per una morale" (1947-1948) e di "Verità e esistenza" (1948). In questi testi Sartre cerca di mantenere la promessa con cui si concludeva l'Essere e il Nulla, ossia quella di sviluppare un'etica esistenzialista basata su una libertà e su una responsabilità assolute. Il filosofo francese propone contemporaneamente una filosofia morale e una filosofia della storia, sottolineando la necessità di un'etica che possa uscire dalle dinamiche relazionali infernali e dai circoli viziosi della violenza e dell'oppressione che hanno da sempre caratterizzato la storia umana. Nonostante l'incompiutezza del progetto, è possibile ricostruire dove stesse andando il pensiero di Sartre; di più, oggi, si può andare anche oltre lo stesso autore, per indirizzarci verso una teoria normativa in grado di inserirsi nel dibattito attuale. Abbiamo chiamato questa bozza "Esistenzialismo critico".
