Set in a page of descripive Italian text page 87 with decorative woodcut headpiece and historiated initial. Single page. folio text to verso. Fair impression some soiling to margins and text. The battle of Lepanto between the Christians and the Turks took place in 1571 one year before Porcacchi first published his Isolario so was very topical at the time. The two fleets met near the islands called by the Venetians "Curzolari"modern day Oxia and even called the victory that of the Battle of Curzolari hence the title on this map.
