Pictorial endsheets. Publisher's address revision stamp on title below imprint some pencil annotations otherwise a very near fine copy. A handsome period binding from the American branch of the venerable music publishers. While there are plate marks for the music v.a. 1868 OCLC suggests a far more reasonable publication date of 1897 which is highly consistent with the style of the binding and printing. 187822057Wm. Le Baron Jr. - Chicago 1878. Good/No Dust Jacket. This is an original 1878 printing with leather binding. The book is complete with 667 pages including the Color MAP. The date 1878 is shown at the bottom of the title page. The pages are nice and clean and unmarked and the binding is strong and solid. The leather along the spine and the corners shows pretty heavy rubbing and quite a bit of wear but the binding is still nice and strong and the covers are firmly attached. The front cover has gold designs and states The History of Woodford County Illinois 1878. The gold text on the spine is a little faded but still readable.
