Albrecht Durers illustrations for Andria were made in Basel about 1492 for a planned edition of Terences comedies on wood-blocks which were never cut and are now preserved in the Kupferstichkabinett of the Kunstmuseum of Basel. The drawings have been copied on new blocks and cut for the first time for this edition by Fritz Kredel. Hand Press. A pseudonym for a still unkown writer "Junius" caused controversy in late Eighteenth Century London with a series of inflammatory letters to various influential figures and magazines. The letters here are an exchange between him and the British Army officer William Draper. Rebound in cloth binding with decorative paper-covered boards. Externally very smart indeed there ios only some very minor rubbing to extremities.
