A lovely clean tight very good or very good plus copy in mustard cloth boards stamped in green to the spine in a good or good plus very largely complete dust jacket. This copy complete with a former bookseller's invoice dated 1984 Bertram Rota Ltd. London loosely inserted as part of its provenance. No inscriptions. The upper edge dyed yellow as it should be and the lower edge rough-cut - again as it should be. The jacket has not been price-clipped 8s. 6d.net. It has very small chipping at the head and tail of the spine no loss of titles. A 1.5cm open tear with some creasing to the jacket left hand joint at the tail of the spine with slight loss. There is another chip/open tear with a little more loss at the head of the rear panel. The front panel of the jacket has some light staining/marking - the most notable being about 2cm x 1cm. Several heavier soil marks to the rear panel. Another short tear with associated crease or two to the head of the rear panel of the jacket. A little dust soiling and uniform fading to the spine of the jacket. A very good copy in good or good plus very largely complete not price-clipped jacket. Chatto & Windus Limited hardcover
