Although never meeting in person the two writers held a mutual respect for each other and Yourcenar visited Mishima's widow after his death. Certainly I had supposed the two copies of the Kou-Kou-Hai were sent to you. I did the wrapping and mailing myself and obviously slipped up somwhere along the way. I do have a few more copies and one will be sent to you within a few days. I have just come back from Paris where I attended teh ceremonies at which Marguerite Yourcenar was admitted to the Academy. It was a triumph for her televised live in its entirety for the first time with the President of the Republic in attendance. . Sincerely Augie Heckscher.""
