Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer fue un hombre de su tiempo el siglo XIX un periodista político escritor versátil reconocido en vida que alcanzó tras su muerte mayor gloria. La difusión de sus Rimas contribuyó en gran medida a esta popularidad ya que supo llegar como pocos y por encima de diferencias de gusto y cultura al corazón humano.
