Silk interior of leather case just a little frayed and sunned otherwise case and all items are fine. <br/><br/>An interesting little treasure chest of Apollinaire 1880-1918 the French poet playwright short story writer novelist and art critic of Polish descent. It includes facsimiles of handwritten letters and postcards maintaining details such as ink spots and postmarks as well as a collotype reproduction of Picasso's sketch of "Don Guillermo" scarce even in facsimile and utterly charming as Apollinaire was a great defender of Cubism. In addition to coining term "cubism" he authored one of the earliest Surrealist literary works the play The Breasts of Tiresias 1917 which became the basis for the 1947 opera Les mamelles de Tiresias.
