1923013093New York: Harcourt Brace & Co. 1923. Reddish boards with paper label on spine with title author and publisher is clean and still pretty fresh. Unmarked and square. Hinge is cracked along length of front endpaper but remaining textblock still pretty well attached. Could probably be repaired pretty easily. Titles in book establish this book to be a 1929 printing as it stops with A Room of One's Own. Jacket design by Vanessa Bell with drapes and flowers and price intact at top of front flap $2. Rear panel of jacket shows titles through Three Guineas published in 1938 but nothing later so jacket is of that period. Jacket tanned a bit on rear panel with some rubbing. Tiny chip at head of spine and minor edgewear at base but surprisingly nice for its age. Jacket is 4/10 of a centimeter short of covering boards but not cut. You would have to look fairly carefully to notice the small difference. Scarce in jacket of this third novel. In mylar. . 4th Printing. Hardcover. Vg-/Very Good Plus. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
