We have never encountered this binding variant on this title and suspect that the set has been rebound using the original boards or that it may be custom though there are no binder's tags present. In any case a professional job with lovely results. Light rubbing along those portions of the edges not wrapped in cloth otherwise presenting virtually as issued with fully intact hinges firm bindings clean and unmarked interiors.
