She testified regarding her boss’s ‘admiration and veneration for Adolf Hitler’ on Day 93 of the Nuremberg Trial. The recipient Louis B. Frewer Superintendent of Rhodes House Library Oxford was a collector of autographs. 1p long 8vo. On brittle and creased paper with chipping and closed tears to edges and traces of mount on reverse. The letter carries an embossed Nazi eagle at top left. Headed ‘SEKRETARIAT.’ and addressed to ‘Louis B. Frewer Esq. / “Tal-y-Fan†/ Highfield Avenue / Oxford’. Reads: ‘Dear Sir / the German Ambassador Herr v. Ribbentrop has asked me to return to you the enclosed photograph which you sent him to have it autographed. Owing to much work I could not comply with your demand sooner. / Yours faithfully / M. Blank.’ 1 July 1937.
