De l’autre, elles touchent à la liberté et à la sûreté du commerce, vu qu’elles en font comme sortir les biens en les rendant inaliénables du moins pour un temps. Elles tiennent essentiellement sous ces deux points de vues, à l’intérêt général de la société". Ce texte est le traité le plus complet sur la matière, l’auteur fut un des partisans de Maupeau qui, au moment où il forma les Conseils supérieurs, le nomma avocat général auprès du Conseil supérieur de Blois.

Completely clean outside and very clean inside, just some offsetting to the endpapers and pastedowns. All text pages and plates and illustrations clean and free of marks. This is the much expanded second edition and superior to the first edition of 1965. Over 1000 illustrations in black & white + some color. Bibliography. 11" high X 9" wide, 476 pages.
