This is a very good hardcover copy in the publisher's original dark red leatherette binding with gilt decoration and titles. No wear to the binding. Completely clean outside and very clean inside, just some offsetting to the endpapers and pastedowns. All text pages and plates and illustrations clean and free of marks. This is the much expanded second edition and superior to the first edition of 1965. Over 1000 illustrations in black & white + some color. Bibliography. 11" high X 9" wide, 476 pages.
