The spines & the edges of the covers are darkened with the leather dried out & cracking. There are pieces out of the head & tail of the spine of Vol. 1 & the lower half of the front joint is split. The head of the spine of Vol. 2 is torn & the rear joint & the top of the front joint are split. x ii & 592 pages; and x & 688 pages. There is scattered foxing & soiling with staining to some pages in each volume. The top corners of the Vol. 1 pages are damaged & there are pieces out of the bottom corner & front edge of 2 rear blanks in Vol. 2. Good only. <p>From the library of a 19th-century lawyer who has penned his name several times in each volume and has made extensive notes on the rear blanks and on a few additional sheets tipped in.
