19293587New York: Macmillan 1929. Limited Edition. Hardcover. Very good . Folio 179pp. illustrated with 51 etchings by John Taylor Arms with an original etching as frontispiece signed in pencil by John Taylor Arms as issued. A very good or better copy in the publisher's black cloth with white linen spine and applied label on front board. Some foxing to extremities including the fore-edge and the margins of a few leaves but really a clean and bright copy internally with tissue guards still present. The matte over the frontispiece is loosened from the etching itself though still bound in perhaps it was issued this way. The only notable flaw is a 2-inch closed tear to the front edge of the title page not approaching any text. This is copy number 53 of 200 copies SIGNED by the author on the limitation page. A truly scarce book as we found just one recent auction record for the signed limited edition from more than a decade ago and no copies in commerce as of this listing. Macmillan hardcover
