One leaf two vertical folds signed by the buyer the bank president and cashier with embossed paper seal. <br/><br/>This is stock certificate No. 506 for 5 shares of stock at a par value of $100 each. It was issued to F. O. Brown and appears never to have been redeemed. The Pinkert State Bank at Cicero Illinois was involved in banking transactions with members of the Capone Family particularly Alphonse and Ralph. In fact Ralph who was known as the money man for his brother Alphonse had five accounts at the Pinkert Bank Al also had a safe deposit box there. <br />Al Capone was arrested just days earlier 25 February 1931 in Chicago and charged with vagrancy - because he had no visible means of support. A Pinkert employee testified at Al's trial on April 12 1926 Al Capone had rented a safe deposit box at the bank. unknown

Handsome image of this obelisk monument commemorating the 21st Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry's contribution at the Battle of Chickamauga signed boldly by photographer Tillinghast in ink in the margin at lower right. On the verso he pens bold and large: "Monument of / 21st Wis. Infantry. / Chickamauga. / paraph / Taken on the battle / field by A.R. Tillinghast / July 15 1900." Whether Tillinghast was a professional or simply a talented amateur we have not been able to ascertain but this warrants further research. Quite handsome and unusual. unknown

Fine and fresh. Talmadge layman "Marse" Hill 1902- 1982 was a Morgan State graduate who played for the football team then returned to the college in 1930 after earning a master's degree at Columbia. He began his coaching career as an assistant to Edward P. Hunt in basketball football and track. Hill became head basketball coach in 1948 and served in that capacity until 1960. He was also an assistant football coach beginning in 1930 the role for which he was being honored at the 1964 Homecoming game. Morgan State College unknown

Addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Dan O'Day. Near fine. On "Congress of the United States" letterhead Andrews thanks these constituents for "your deep interest in the History of North Dakota" and transmits this book noting: "Although each state is permitted to place two statues in Statuary Hall this is the first to represent North Dakota. The beginning of the Nugget Press was in 1939 with its first publication a translation from the German of Heinrich Lienhard's "I Knew Sutter." This the third publication of the press continues the tradition of having some student group write print bind and copyright at least one book each year. The result is this beautifully produced little volume with both the original Spanish and facing English. According to the forward Enrique Cerruti was employed by H. H.
