Faint fold lines a few tiny chips to extremities light soil else Very Good to Near Fine. Fortune-telling broadsheet regarding the fate of France following the Siege of Paris in September 1870. The author a certain "Doctor Refilando" predicted the event in an article in "La Conviccion" two days prior and the concluding list of predictions made on verso refer to his success as a soothsayer. Additional prophecies reproduced here include that made by a nun in Belley France in 1810; one made by another nun in Paris 1829; a prophecy made in the13th century in verse; and a list of fifteen made by Caesarius of Arles in the sixth century. Apparently unrecorded broadsheet adorned with an original woodcut depicting the Siege of Paris during that Franco-Prussian War. Shot in nonlinear documentary style with Giuliano's character off-screen for most of the film Rosi's narrative employs formal and stylistic elements like time-jumping to envision the truth about the gangster's life neither objective or fictional and minimalist neo-realism at its finest. From the archive of the PIX Agency a photo house that acted as an intermediary between emigre photographers as well as those still living in Europe and the American magazine and newspaper market between 1935-1969.<br/><br/>Miller's play premiered on Broadway at the ANTA Washington Square Theatre on January 23 1964 and ran for a successful 208 performances although not without facing a fair amount of criticism for its thinly veiled cynical portrayal of Marilyn Monroe from whom Miller had recently been divorced. Numerical annotations in holograph pencil on the versos of all but one and five with Contino's rubber-stamp on the versos. <br/><br/>Strasberg portrays a Jewish women sent to a concentration camp during WWII leading an escape plan even as the turmoil of war threatens to defeat her will. Pontecorvo's engaging war film with feminist undercurrents albeit overshadowed by what would become his most accomplished film "The Battle of Algiers" 1966. Typescript Treatment script for the 1970 film "The Fifth Day of Peace" here under the working title "Gott Mit Uns!!" its translated title being "God's On Our Side." Laid in is a single typescript leaf author unknown dated 9/8/69 detailing the story outline and noting the possibility of actor Max von Sydow taking on the lead role of "Falkenstein" the commanding officer of the German POW's. Sydow would ultimately not take part in the film. Brief notation in holograph ink on two pages. <br/><br/>Based on a story by Andrea Barbato whose film credits include "Kill Me Quick I'm Cold" 1967 "Morel's Invention" 1974 and the television mini-series "Caravaggio" 1967. The story involves German deserters and their trial by fellow POWs inside a prisoner of war camp in the waning days of WWII the fifth day of peace to be exact. <br/><br/>Blue titled wrappers. Title page present undated but preceded by a "copyright" page dated 2/5/69 in holograph ink and crediting the Clesis Cinematografica production company. 158 leaves with last leaf of text numbered 154 and a laid-in leaf.
