This is a very good hardcover copy with almost no wear. Signed in ink on the title-page, by the author and photographer, Anna Lenz, above and below her printed name. Not inscribed just signed and dated August 2000. Anna Lenz and her husband Gerhard were art collectors who formed an association with the Zero Group in the early 1960's. They had one of the largest collections of Zero Group material. This is a book of photographs of the artists in the group and their families and friends at gallery openings over the years. Almost all of the photographs were taken by Anna Lenz. 12" square, unpaginated, about 100 pages. Illustrated in black & white and color. He was a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists, regarded as one of the brightest representatives of the Leningrad school of painting. Illustrated mostly in color with 134 plates. Chronology. Many vintage black & white photographs of the artist and colleagues, etc. This book is a virtual catalogue raisonne for this artist. This is a fine softcover copy in stiff flexible vinyl type covers with no wear at all. Completely clean inside and out. Text in Spanish with English summary at the end. This catalog was prepared to accompany the exhibition at the Reina Sofia in 2003. Nicolas de Lekuona (1913-1937) was an enormously talented Spanish artist who worked in the media of photography and painting. His photomontages from the 1930's are reminiscent of Hannah Hoch, Heartfield et al. This catalog is the first serious attempt to rescue Lekuona from the obscurity that his death at age 24 condemned him. Bibliography.
