Rear board rubbed. Hinges and corners carefully strengthened. Inner gilt dentelles. Faded marbled endpapers. Previous owner's signature to front endpaper: "Eliz. Marriott Septr. 15 1794". Clear English text throughout on lightly toned and spotted paper. Bound with: "The companion to the altar." no title-page; bound with A New Version Of The Psalms title-page un-dated. Referenced by: ESTC T182717 . Family history records show that: "Elizabeth Featherstonehaugh was born in 1748 in Bishopsgate Middlesex her father Richard was 28 and her mother Elizabeth was 23. She married William Marriott on 4 June 1776 in Surrey. They had four children during their marriage. She died on 4 August 1815 at the age of 67 and was buried in London. William Marriott Esq. of Hoxton Square who was born December 16th 1753 and died July 15th 1815 in the 63rd year of his age. He was one of the executors of the late Rev.
