They cover the period 1800-1815 and aim to include all holdings of British books taken in the expanded sense of those published in Britain the colonies and the USA all books in English wherever published and all translations from English. Each volume includes highly useful classification tables subject and imprint indexes.Each entry in the author ordered text consists of four sections: 1. A reference number 2. Author statement including epithet and life-span. 3. Short-title . The title is followed by up to three subject classification numbers. 4. The edition statement which includes place of imprint but does not contain details of printers and publishers bibliographical notes numbers of parts or volumes details of editors translators etc and finally location symbols. The set comprises: Volume 1: A-C. Vol. 2: D-H; Vol.3: I-Q; Vol. 4: R-Z; Vol. 5: England Ireland Scotland Londondirectories ephemerides & periodical publications; title index; first supplement cumulative imprint and subject indexes to volumes 1-4. The numerous plates depict furniture street scenes including protests with placards a variety of costumes including military uniforms theatrical and various trades all English.<br /> c. 1850 hardcover

Il a rejoint vers 1927 l’équipe du Cabaret « La Vache Enragée » conduite par Roger Toziny. Jacques Cathy poursuit sa carrière de chansonnier après le décès de Toziny en 1939 et après la guerre il conduit parallèlement une carrière d’acteur dans le cinéma.
