The wrapper features a fine allegorical engraved vignette with a globe books eagle sailing ship and steam vessel and is imprinted "W. A. Ingham Cleveland O. No. 2 Detroit St." The cover bears a ink signature "Julius Muller" and is dated 1855. The sketch book contains 12 original pencil sketches on the internal leaves executed with careful draftsmanship. Subjects include still-life studies architectural and landscape elements and observational sketches that demonstrate competent handling of form shading and composition for a studio or field sketchbook of the period. Original wrapper intact with moderate age toning and wear interior leaves clean and sketches well-preserved. A few pencil drawings bear Muller's signature and date affirming attribution. Nur Jahan was fond of hunting and often went on hunting tours with her husband and was known for her boldness in hunting ferocious tigers. She is reported to have slain four tigers with six bullets during one hunt.
